walk through bethlehem
Step back in time & visit the recreated village of Bethlehem
Friday, December 6 | 6:30-8:30pm
Saturday, December 7 | 6:00*-8:30pm
PLEASE NOTE: Due to Walk Through Bethlehem, Damascus Road will not hold its regular Saturday night service on December 7th.
Imagine taking a guided tour through the streets of Bethlehem and experiencing the age-old story of Jesus' birth! Meet the shepherds, hear the angels on the hill singing and the strolling carolers from the National Christian Choir, interact with Roman soldiers, pet the animals in the manger, and much, much more! This FREE event begins with a short program inside, followed by hot cocoa and cider to prepare you for the hayride to a recreated village, complete with over 200 actors and dozens of live animals.
This is a free event & everyone is invited!

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
The gate opens at 6:30pm on Friday and 6pm on Saturday and closes at 8:30pm each evening. Once parked, you will proceed inside to the first stage of the event: a short program to warm you up for the main attraction outside.
Due to the high volume of traffic, we recommend you arrive early and expect to be delighted while you wait in the queue with Damascus Road Christmas carolers and other activities!
Dress warmly! This is a rain-or-shine event so dress appropriately.
Strollers are not permitted due to safety concerns.
*For those who are immobile due to a disability or have special needs, a special showing will be held on Saturday at 5:30pm. Please note that due to the nature of the venue, wheelchairs cannot be used, but motorized golf carts will be in service with a driver. Please call ahead (301-829-3722) if you have any questions.
This event is absolutely free, however, donations of canned goods which will help fill our local food pantry, Mount Airy Net, will be warmly welcomed.
